I bought a model airbrush set with a portable air compressor that has a max psi of 57 and 0.6 CFM air volume. Can I use this as a tire pump? What kind of hose/fitting do I need? Aside from that, what else can this be used for? I just hate to see it sitting there not being fully used. Thanks in advance!
I am looking for a mannequin head for using in practicing theatrical makeup applications including dry cake powder, wet makeup, and might also use it for airbrush makeup application.
The cosmetology heads are not designed for makeup and the latex masks and heads are too smooth. Makeup just smears and doesn’t provide the same coverage as when placed on skin.
Do mannequin heads exist that have a somewhat porous, or skin like texture that
will hold makeup properly and can be easily cleaned after wards? Is there a product that
can be sprayed onto or applied to the latex masks or cosmetology heads making
them more skin like ???
Would applying a base of translucent foundation help ??
I would be practicing with Mehron and Ben Nye theatrical cake, powder and
liquid makeup… plus also using airbrush makeup for other designs.
Thanks in advance for your help !!
I wanted to know if for doing hats (trucker),t-shirts and canvases does the Peak C-5 with the polar bear 2000 comppressor work for that sort of things. And how do I control the thinness and the fattness that the paint comes out. And with the paints can I use any type of acrylic paints.Like the Apple Battle brand. And if you can some pointers or tips maybe.
I’m sort of a newbie in this so can you plz help??????
Thanks in Advance,

I got an airbrush kit for Christmas which consists of a small air compressor, the airbrush and a set of Createx paints.
There is either a small jar or a metal "cub" that attaches to the bottom of the airbrush. The jar works great, however the metal cup, when attached, seems to tilt about 45 degrees forward. Therefore, you can not move the airbrush down without spilling the paint. I’ve noticed from some YouTube videos, a lot of people are using an airbrush which has the metal cup on TOP. Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the two? As I said the jar works fine but it looks easier to use the metal cup if you only want to use a small amount of paint. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
So I’ve been eying this PowerCat Airbrush and Compressor set combo that’s on ebay for 60 USD. I’ve googled around and actually had only mixed reviews about this thing. I’m only a high school student and tight on cash but I only build Gundams as a pasttime, but what I’ve seen done on these forums is encouraging to pursue this hobby of mine to the next step.
I want to know if this thing is actually worth it as it is a China product, (hell I’m Chinese and I don’t trust their shit sometimes haha) and if anyone who has it would give me a heads up or a positive review about it.
I only plan to spray outdoors during the spring and summer and early fall when it’s warm enough. I’m gonna be heading to college in a year actually and maybe feel like building one every now and then when I’m back.
Does anyone know if it’s okay to use if I’ve never airbrushed before? ( tried a can and I can’t stand it). I wanna give it a shot, but at the same time, I don’t want it breaking on me. And also is the .3mm nozzle and gravity fed any good for Gundam Building?
Thanks in advance
Basically all I’m trying to do is get rid of a few imperfections, and I would prefer to airbrush them out instead of blurring or smudging, and I tried the free Photoshop Serif version, but I’m not quite sure how to use the airbrushing tool? Are there guides that could teach me?
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!
I’m very into art, I’ve done a bit of sculpting and a lot of regular drawing on sketchpads and such. I’m extremely interested in digital art however I’ve never used any kind of art programs and I have no photoshop experience. But I love the sharp, clean look digital art can produce and I want to learn some techniques and a tablet seems like a good and fun way to start.
Like I said I don’t have any digital art experience so I have some random questions for tablet users, if anyone can answer some or all of them I would be very great full!
First of all, how comparable is using a tablet to a sketchpad? Is it a lot like drawing normally or is it a whole different kind of experience?
Second, I’ve seen two types of tablets while doing some quick researching. The one I’m way more interested in is the ones with the screen that you view your piece on and draw directly on. The second seems to work like a mouse pad, where you draw on the pad and it appears on your computer screen. Is that acurate? Or am I lost here? Any info (or tips) on the two types is appreciated!
Also I’m curious about effects that can be created on tablets, can you get different types of brushes and effects like on photoshop or do tablets provide basically colors and normal line/paint drawing effects? How does that work because I saw someone mention a "airbrush pen" which led me to assume you get actual different pens for each effect…
Lastly, for a beginner who isn’t looking to spend large amounts of money what brand or type of tablet do you recommend?
Any other tips or hints that you may have would definitely be appreciated!! Thanks, in advance, for your time and help!
I was led to believe that most tablets usually come with software created for use with the tablet. Is that not correct? Or are they just an accessory to be used with bigger programs such as Photoshop?
Can I use the same system for makeup as tanning or would I have to get two separate systems? Thanks in advance!
I’m working with a limited budget as this is just a hobby but I don’t necessarily need the worst of the worst. Something that will last me a while and do a decent job without being overly complicated (or expensive) would be perfect. Any suggestions as to the kind of set-up i’m looking for?
Thanks in advance,
-Adam
The main question pretty much summarizes what i wanna know: Any insight as to wether something like Createx paint would stick to a primed wooden surface. the skateboard is actually a sector 9 skateboard and while it doesnt flex too much it still has a bit of noticable flex to it. Oh and i really dont want to get into the expensive automotive paints. Thanks in advance for anyone who answers.
